Encounters with Policy-makers and Opinion Leaders

The Mandel Graduate Unit provides structure for formal and informal discourse with policy-makers and opinion leaders – major figures that impact the public discourse

The Mandel Graduate Unit structures a space, a time and a place for formal and informal discourse, in-depth discussion and philosophical reflection by the graduates among themselves and with policy-makers and opinion leaders - major figures that impact the public discourse and the subject areas that touch on the professional fields in which the graduates are active. This unique learning model enables an intimate dialogue at eye-level and offers a platform for shared conceptual thinking, to structure the unique Mandel language, to advance partnerships among graduates and position them as agents of change that impact the public discourse and policy-makers. Among the encounters held with policy-makers and opinion leaders:

  • Amram Mitzna, then chair of the Knesset Education, Culture and Sports Committee
  • Manuel Trajtenberg, then chair of the Planning and Budgeting Committee of the Higher Education Council
  • Guy Rolnik, editor of The Marker
  • Nahum Itzkovich, director-general of the Ministry of Welfare and Social Services
